Not for charity, not for profit, but for service.
Committed to you, your family, and your future.

GPO is dedicated to providing quality financial service to our membership. We want to provide our service in a competitive manner that will return adequate earnings to maintain our capital reserve. We will always recognize the rights of our members as owners of the credit union which creates the bond and uniqueness of our credit union.

History
A credit union is a not-for-profit cooperative financial institution owned and controlled by all people who use its services. Credit union members normally have a common bond, such as where they work, live, or worship. This is known as a field of membership.

GPO was founded in 1931 as a postal credit union, under the name Utica, NY Postal Credit Union. Postal workers were the credit union's sole field of membership at the time. Since then, GPO has grown to incorporate workers from more than 100 employers including most area healthcare-related facilities, manufacturing companies, government workers and more. Today, more than 17,000 members and their families take advantage of all GPO has to offer.
