Here's how you do it...


1. Apply for a checking account

Apply for your GPO Federal Credit Union checking account. Once we receive the completed New Account Application, we’ll process it and once accepted, send you a welcome letter with your account information and applicable disclosures.

 
 

2 & 3. Change Notices

If you have any questions about moving your account to GPO Federal Credit Union, please call us at (315) 724-1654.

Complete the Direct Deposit and Automatic Payment Change Notices and we will mail them to the company or organization that is automatically depositing funds into your existing checking account. We will also mail the Automatic Payment form to all companies or organizations that are taking payments from your existing account. You may make additional copies of these forms if necessary.

4. Closure Request

Your GPO Representative will follow up with you in a month to be sure that all of your direct deposit and/or automatic payments are coming to your new GPO FCU checking account, and that all of your checks have cleared your old checking account. At that time, we will mail the Closure Request to your previous financial institution. Any remaining balance will be sent to your new checking account.
